Climate Literacy Program

In 2016, my colleagues and I at Climatepedia designed a 12 week virtual program for students to learn about climate change in an interdisciplinary framework. Cohorts apply their knowledge in weekly conference call discussions, facilitated by Climatepedia staff. This program has been featured at several conferences (CHESC, AGU, and AASHE). This program is open to college students across the USA. Thanks to sponsors like AGU, we were able to accept over 80 interns from around the world for the summer 2020 cohort.  Click here for more information and how to apply.

Classroom Presentations

Throughout the school year, I give presentations about water and climate change at local K-12 classrooms in Orange County as part of student groups and nonprofits (Climatepedia, H2Outreach, CLEAN at UCI). I also volunteer for STEM outreach events, such as Irvine Unified School District’s “Ask-A-Scientist Night”, Science@OC’s STEMploration at the STEAM Academy event, and Tustin High School’s “Women in STEM Night”
